Riviera del Sol

The Riviera del Sol is located on the coast between Fuengirola and Marbella and is just a few minutes' walk from the beach.

Why move to Riviera del Sol?

To move here means a beautiful climate, stunning views, and easy access to the beach.

Riviera del Sol, a modern urbanization located just a few minutes' walk from the beach, is close to the popular coastal resorts of Fuengirola and Marbella. The beach, however, is less frequented than others on the Costa del Sol, with a small chiringuito - beach café serving food and drinks most of the day.

This urbanization gives you good proximity to a lot of fun activities and great days out. Marbella, with its design shops, excellent restaurants, and fabulous nightlife, is just a 15-minute drive away. Fuengirola is a 10-minute drive away, where you can take advantage of the excellent beaches in addition to the zoo, water park and several cinemas.

Population

This is a popular area for British holidaymakers; as a result, it tends to be busier in the summer months.

Estate

The area benefits from a good combination of modern real estate, from family villas to penthouses and apartments. Most properties have beautiful views and access to the pool.

Public facilities

A good selection of amenities, including supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities, can be found within walking distance. Golf lovers can choose from several nearby courses, including Miraflores Golf Club, which is just a 5-minute drive away.

Transport

Riviera del Sol is just minutes from the A-7 motorway, which connects you to a number of key coastal destinations such as Marbella in the west and Malaga in the east. Malaga Airport is approximately 30 minutes away for international flights.

Employment

Thanks to the large population of locals, you will find job enough opportunities for English speakers at Riviera del Sol. Tourism and real estate sectors are the best way to find work. There are also opportunities in childcare, marketing, technology, and teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL).

Public health

Private healthcare is popular in this area; many people use health insurance companies that offer services such as 24-hour home visits, intensive care ambulances and hospital transfers. Spain's Costa del Sol State Hospital is just over 10 minutes away and has a good number of English-speaking doctors and nurses.

Education

If you're looking for a British curriculum, Novaschool Sunland International School is less than a 5-minute drive away. The Ark Christian School is less than 10 minutes away and offers a British curriculum. There are also many Spanish state schools in this area.

Cost of living

The cost of living is reasonable compared to some of the more expensive parts of the Costa del Sol. The bonus is that the attractions of a more expensive summer resorts are still within close reach.
